COLLABORATION WITH THE INGA – A STORY OF FORGIVENESS
The Inga people, who live in Colombia’s Sibundoy Valley, share their ancestral land with the Camëntsá community. Though these two Indigenous groups once stood divided by conflict, they eventually united in the face of Spanish colonization and embarked on a profound journey of healing and reconciliation. This journey is honored each year through the Kalusturinda Carnival, a powerful celebration of forgiveness, renewal, and the strength of cultural identity.
The Amazon Forgiveness Earrings are a tribute to this legacy. Each pair is handcrafted by Inga artisan women using traditional beadwork techniques passed down through generations. The vibrant colors and intricate forms of these earrings are inspired by the Amazon rainforest, but their deeper message lies in the values they represent: unity, resilience, and the courage to forgive.
Through this collaboration, we preserve ancestral wisdom in contemporary design, with a deep commitment to sustainability, transparency, and respect for Indigenous heritage. When you wear Bomboná’s Forgiveness Earrings, you don’t just carry a piece of Colombia’s natural beauty—you carry a piece of a collective journey toward peace and healing.
